still is dedicated to the promotion of Southern Gospel, Christian
Country, Bluegrass Gospel and Lite Contemporary Gospel Music through
assertive Marketing, Merchandising and Booking for over 38 years!.
Southern Gospel Outreach is based in the Northeast Texas city of
Clarksville and promotes Soloists, Trios, Quartets and Family
artists from all across America and from the great country of Canada
as well in Churches of "all" Faiths as well as yearly Festivals in
several states each year.
Southern Gospel Outreach, works special Gospel Music venues for
different Chamber of Commerce functions, Law Enforcement Agencies,
Charitable Organizations and "Fund-Raisers" for individuals and for
any other worthwhile causes.
Southern Gospel Outreach, is owned by it's founder Tommy D. Mayo,
who has been involved in Southern Gospel Music for over 43 years.
Tommy, has seen the "winds of change" sweep over the Southern Gospel
Music Industry in the last several years and some of the changes for
the most part have been good... some not so good!!.
Southern Gospel Outreach in past years have promoted such "elite"
artists as Gold City, Palmetto State, Wilburns, Singing Americans,
Dove Brothers and many others....today, it strives to recognize and
promote "New and Upcoming" artists whether they are Soloists, Trios,
Quartets and Family groups. They are Southern Gospel, Christian
Country, Bluegrass Gospel as well as Lite Contemporary.
Southern Gospel Outreach, "does not" promote "Show Artists"...if
they just do nothing but entertain and have no Ministry, they need
to look elsewhere or find some other field of music to display their
talents...not Gospel!!. Entertainment is fine in Gospel Music...but
there needs to be a "genuine" element of Ministry in it also!.
Southern Gospel Outreach, loves to work with the "New and Upcoming"
artists who have their "focus and priorities" foremost in order and
their sound, stage presence and personality on and off the stage be
as professional as can be. God, wants us to be the "best" that we
can be for HIM...and we should be!!.
Southern Gospel Outreach, supports the Gospel Songwriters who have
been given the Gift of penning "Anointed" and "Purposeful" songs to
get the Message of Jesus Christ out to the listeners, by means of
recording artists. If we "did not" have the "Songwriter", then there
would be "No Song" to SING!.
